Would you like to join an expanding and fun company? Our anticipated growth has created an exciting opportunity for a GL accountant at 2theloo, who is responsible for maintaining general ledger entries and reconciling financial statements for several countries in Europe.

The focus for the GL Accountant will mainly be to ensure a reliable (accurate, timely and complete) administration of all entities of 2theloo.

We operate over 175 sites in 10 countries throughout Europe and offer a leading toilet concept so it’s safe to say we are kind of a big deal.  Over the years 2theloo has developed strong partnerships with operators of highway locations, railway companies and urban hotspots in Paris, London and Barcelona.  And driving it all, behind the scenes, are our service teams!

We are looking for a GL accountant who will join the team in Amsterdam and who loves working with data and truly understand how to ensure that financial information complies with professional and regulatory standards.

Tasks & responsibilities:

  • Entering financial data and transactions into the ledger,
  • Reviewing financial documents for accuracy and reconciling accounts,
  • Analysing (non) financial data and providing financial recommendations,
  • Ensuring financial records comply with regulatory standards,
  • Generating financial reports,
  • Collaborating with other departments to complete accurate reports and provide accounting support,
  • Preparing taxes or gathering tax documents,
  • Supports Finance Managers and other financial professionals in their duties as needed.

What we are looking for:

  • Minimum 4 years’ of working experience in finance operations / administration (preferably in retail and/or B2B environment),
  • Advanced knowledge on financial software applications (Excel),
  • A hands-on mentality with eye for detail, able to communicate effectively to various parties and work independently in an international environment,
  • Communication skills in Dutch and English (French is preferred),
  • Energetic, ambitious and always looking for opportunities for improvement,
  • Team-player,
  • Analytical skills, accuracy and being organized and structure.
