New neighbours in Brussels Central: a surprising twist for the royal lodge
Did you know that Brussels-Central is home to a hidden treasure? Behind a double door is a royal waiting room, once designed to receive royalty in style.
This luxurious room, complete with gold details, marble and a majestic red carpet, was built especially for King Baudouin in 1952. Despite its splendour, the room was rarely used and mainly acted as a time capsule of a bygone era. Until now, because new neighbours are coming!
In cooperation with SNCB, 2theloo may manage the sanitary facilities in major Belgian stations in the coming years. A visit to our toilets costs 1 euro, but in return we guarantee a surprisingly fun and comfortable experience. And let's be honest: besides the stately royal lodge, our place in Brussels-Central brings a touch of humour. Because say it yourself, a station in a city where Manneken Pis rules the roost deserves a good dose of toilet fun.
For us, it is an honour to contribute to the comfort of travellers at this special location. We make sure that everyone, from commuters to tourists, leaves the station experience just that little bit nicer and fresher. Perhaps the king will one day spot our surprising approach, although it seems he prefers his palace car to the platform, but never say never.
So, royal or not, everyone deserves a royal-flush during their travel. So will we see you at Brussels Central soon? Toedeloe!
