Melissa's journey at 2theloo: growth, challenges, and passion
Melissa’s story is a testament to the empowering and dynamic work environment at 2theloo. Her growth, passion for challenges, and commitment to her role embody the spirit of the company. Whether navigating operations or drawing inspiration from Wonder Woman, Melissa showcases resilience and a drive for continuous improvement.
How did your journey at 2theloo begin, and what attracted you to your current role?
I discovered the job posting online and was immediately drawn to the fun and human-centred spirit of the company. I quickly climbed the ranks, starting as a junior manager overseeing a single site and then managing several others. Today, I serve as an Operations Assistant. What I appreciate most about 2theloo is that it gives everyone the chance to demonstrate their skills. What excites me about my current role is being close to the staff—listening to them and finding solutions together—while also maintaining close contact with upper management. I feel valued as part of the team and enjoy engaging in operational, strategic, and administrative discussions.
Can you tell us more about your responsibilities within the company?
My role as an Operations Assistant is highly varied. I work from home, but I also visit different sites, which is perfect for me because I love to travel. When I work remotely, I handle administrative requests from staff and management. I also assist my colleague, the Operations Manager, with tasks such as preparing weekly reports on worked and planned hours. This role allows me to grow daily, gaining both experience and new skills.
What is your biggest challenge in your current role?
My biggest challenge is helping managers become more autonomous and independent. But that's not the only one. Currently, I’m involved in recruitment, something I had never done before in my career. It forces me out of my comfort zone, which I absolutely love! I don’t like sticking to already-acquired skills. I enjoy learning new things and being thrown into situations where I have to figure things out on my own. Thankfully, I have excellent "lifeguards" by my side to guide me when needed.
Looking back on your experience at 2theloo so far, what are you most proud of?
I’m most proud of my growth and the development of my skills.
In your opinion, what makes 2theloo a great place to work?
I feel comfortable at 2theloo; I feel valued and recognised. The company places a strong emphasis on the human aspect, which I deeply appreciate. It pushes us and supports us in building and validating our competencies.
The most important question: who is your favourite superhero and why?
Since I was little, I’ve been a fan of Wonder Woman. She’s humble, never admits defeat despite doubts, and always rises from her battles without retreating. I’ve always found inspiration in this fictional character.
